An elderly lady was left looking ahead to the ambulance whilst struggle to move after tripping using a loose paving slab about King's Lynn's Broad Avenue on October 8.
The ambulance was labeled at around 10am and arrived soon after 2pm, taking the lady to hospital for even more care.
A woman who works in on the list of street's shops close to where the fall happened and wishes to remain anonymous, said the incident produced the community together to aid the elderly lady along with added that she could not blame the ambulance service while they had to prioritise incidents which often can be fatal due for you to cuts,
Brighthouse provided the lady with a duvet, while The Fent Shop provided her with a cardboard screen.
She said the council required to provide the town centre with a central first aid kit that may provide those in the community with the tools to make ambulance waits practical such as screens plus blankets, as she had not necessarily seen the town's cycling paramedic for some time and believed it have been cut.
The shop employee added: "The council receives enough money from motor vehicle parks, and people, elderly people are falling down below regularly, so why can't they set up a central first aid kit, town rangers could possibly hold them. "
A spokesman for any East of England Provider NHS Trust said: "We would choose to apologise for any distress caused into the patient waiting for the ambulance yesterday in King's Lynn. At that time we received this telephone, we were experiencing high demand and needed to prioritise patients with life-threatening injury and illnesses. This unfortunately meant that a lot of people who did not have life-threatening cases often have experienced longer waits. We do understand even so that these situations is usually stressful for patients and their families and again, we are sorry. "
The spokesman wouldn't respond to a request for discuss whether the cycling paramedic was still in operation.
