  • A Virtual Systems Engineer has to provide technical support and help on critical issues to customers, sales team, and partners. Being primarily a technical sales professional, this individual has to work with the applicants to suggest and develop the right solution offerings.

    Virtual Systems Engineers should be well versed with various types of products and technologies and handle most requests through virtual tools, such as Telepresence, WebEx, and so on.

    They must be willing to work flexible hours and have to be excellent in interpersonal skills, as they would have to interact with all teams within an organization.

    Virtual Systems Engineers need to keep track of what is trending in the information technology landscape, must have in-depth knowledge of security products portfolio of Cisco or other technologies, have experience in administration of Windows 2008/2012 server, manage LAN and WAN architectures, which consist of several products from Cisco and other vendors, and must have the ability to evaluate the requests satisfactorily and identify their magnitude correctly.

    Furthermore, they should work on drafting technical responses to RFPs (request for proposals) and the approach for it, such as products, software, services, and solutions.

    They must work with Virtual Storage Access Methods (VSAM), partners, and field staff to fix all customer issues, aid in launching of new products and services, undertake focused training, handle cases according preference to the oldest request, and so on to understand ways to strategize better and improve substantially of the sales performance of an organization. Virtual Systems Engineers are responsible for preparing manuals, design documentation, technical reports and managing VoIP infrastructure.
